August 2010 Grand Openings held for the Carter’s Kids Playground Dedication (first-ever such playground constructed in Michigan) and Elmwood Township’s Greilickville Harbor Park
October 2010 Elmwood Township Marina Committee issues its Final Report listing 10 separate recommendations for Elmwood Township Board future consideration and approval
November 2010 Elmwood Township Board adopts the Marina Committee’s list of 10 recommendations

October-December 2011 JJR conducts numerous public input sessions with marina users, the general public, key stakeholders along the Greilickville Commercial Corridor, TART, MDOT, and the Leelanau County Road Commission (two of these meetings were televised and remain available for viewing on the internet at upnorthmedia.org)
December 2011 Elmwood Township Marina Committee recommends that the Township Board adopt JJR’s Elmwood Township Marina Master Plan and JJR’s Greilickville Commercial Corridor Waterfront District Framework Plan
December 2011 Elmwood Township is awarded a $45,000 grant from the Great Lakes Fishery Trust to undertake preliminary engineering, design, and public input sessions regarding the future feasibility and construction of a public fishing pier at Greilickville Harbor Park
January 2012 Elmwood Township adopts JJR’s Elmwood Township Marina Master Plan and JJR’s Greilickville Commercial Corridor Waterfront District Framework Plan and forwards the latter document to the Greilickville Commercial Corridor Task Force for further review and consideration
January 2012 The Greilickville Commercial Corridor Task Force is reconvened, adopts JJR’s Greilickville Commercial Corridor Waterfront District Framework Plan, develops a plan for selecting a planning consultant to develop the Greilickville Commercial Corridor Sub-Area Master Plan, determines that no meaningful future Greilickville Commercial Corridor planning initiatives are likely unless and until a Corridor Traffic Study is conducted, and announces plans to conduct traffic counts at key points along M-22 in Summer 2012
